CopyPaste - Issue #4

Programming note:  Our next issue of CopyPaste will be delivered a bit earlier than usual, Tuesday December 23rd, due to the holiday.

We’ll kick this issue off with some good ol’ holiday cheer.

Want to quickly understand the basic principles of web design, with nice illustrations to boot? You got it.

Fascinating breakdown of the difference between US and Chinese App UI trends. It feels completely opposite in many aspects.

I’ve seen a lot of of these “design” advent calendars. But christmasexperiments is one of the best.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and TIME magazine picks some of the most influential photos of 2014. I love Massimo Sestini’s “Mediterranean” photo.

Instagram hits 300 million users, passing Twitter.

Enough beautiful fractals to take me into the next millenium.

We definitely didn’t win. In fact we didn’t even come close. But I had a great time at the Trivia Night for Cheaters put on by the great 826NYC.

I rewatch this every couple of months and every time it's great: Simon Sinek on "How great leaders inspire action".

A very timely article on top prototyping tools for interaction designers.

Being someone who played video games with his father growing up (thanks Dad!), Andy Baio’s article really hit home.

A true, and touching story on how user human-centered design can really influence and help overcome challenges.

Hate saying goodbye to your parents after the holidays? Take pictures of them. Angelo Merendino did and it’s great.

One more- NPR’s best 100 songs of 2014.
