Overview
Optimizing Ansell’s sales with a High-Performance application
Ansell, a global leader in personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturing, specializes in providing innovative solutions for healthcare professionals and industrial workers. Motivated by their mission to safeguard people globally, Ansell sought to stand out from the competition by developing an innovative, high-performance sales support application. This mission-critical work led Ansell to contact DOOR3 for assistance designing, building, and managing their flagship sales support platform.
Our Challenge
A new standard for sales enablement
Ansell’s legacy sales tool, Guardian, performed cost-benefit analyses of healthcare PPE. However, expanding into industrial PPE required a more adaptable and scalable solution. The existing platform’s architecture and design couldn’t support these new demands. Initially brought on for UX design and front-end improvements in Angular, DOOR3’s disciplined approach and technical expertise led Ansell to entrust us with the entire project. As product managers, we directed three different teams through a successful launch. Along the way, we enhanced the .NET Core architecture, optimized performance, and resolved technical and design issues left by a third-party vendor.
“We were impressed with their strong communication and tight engagement.”
Anupama Rao, Head of Engineering, Security & Cloud Ops
Expertise, Process, and Discipline
The DOOR3 Difference
The development of GuardianOne highlighted DOOR3’s expertise in managing complex software projects and mitigating risk. Key elements of the process included:
Improving Frontend Usability
Designers reimagined the user interface, prioritizing readability, efficiency, and a more intuitive experience. Front-end developers optimized the Angular code base for enhanced usability.
Reengineering Backend Processes
Developers worked backward to improve existing architecture and optimize performance. This included refactoring inefficient database queries, streamlining API interactions, and enhancing system scalability to support increased data loads and future expansion.
Agile Project Management
DOOR3 Project Managers organized and led a multi-workstream program of work, managing teams from Ansell, DOOR3, and a legacy, 3rd party IT firm. The work was managed using SCRUM methodology. We ensured inter-workstream and executive alignment through meticulous management of project timelines and a global roadmap.
DevOps and Data Migration Architecture
DOOR3 was the first team that was able to successfully perform data cleanup, data mappings, and gap analysis that was needed to both plan a successful day-of-launch cutover, and also integrate the legacy and new systems to enable testing with live data.

Our Solution
Building a Robust Sales Platform: GuardianOne
A sales enablement application designed to support Ansell’s global team. The platform’s enhanced capabilities included:
Scenario Generation for Value Selling
Guardian One enabled sales executives to assemble competitor product data, client operational variables (such as distances between workstations and supply areas), and Ansell product value points, and create scenarios to help clients envision their savings at scale, both for price comparison and operational improvements.
Revamped User Interface
Developed an intuitive, modern UI with improved readability, ease of use, and efficiency for sales teams.
Optimized Performance
Built a high-speed application with enhanced data processing and minimal load times. This optimizes managing data-heavy transactions, allowing sales reps to complete deals faster and with greater accuracy.
